Radiation detectors are instruments which sense and relay information about incoming radiation. Radiation takes the form of Gamma-rays, X-rays, alpha and beta particles and neutron radiation. Radiation detectors are utilized in such fields as medicine, geology, physics, nuclear power, homeland security, nondestructive testing and biology.
