Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Grants Administrator for our Watertown offices. This position is
responsible for managing the entire grant lifecycle from the grant application, including budget
preparation, grant negotiation, grant management, including deliverables, and through to grant
closeout. Works with team on the submission of proposals to complex funding opportunities,
including submissions in response to RFP’s, FOA’s and BAA’s.

 

Other responsibilities include:

• Determines and communicates solicitation requirements and deadlines for proposals, reviews
proposals for completeness, and ensures compliance with agency or foundation requirements.
• Communicates company policies, procedures and documentation requirements.
• Assists in locating funding source materials and sponsor guidelines.
• Conducts review of all non-competing renewal submissions.
• Uses Access queries and reports to measure and manage workflow effectively and efficiently.
• Maintains Access proposal, grants and deliverables records.
• Ensures that all grants activity is organized, budget compliant, and accurately reported.
• Collaborates with Finance and Grants Management to ensure integrity of financial transactions and
contractual agreements.

 

Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Relevant work experience with budgets, grants management or grants accounting would be a plus.
• Experience with federal and state grants administration policies, and indirect cost allocations
preferred.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access required.
• Strong financial skills preferred.
• Strong experience with grants submission processes and protocols would be a plus.
• Familiarity with FAR and agency websites would be a plus.
• Proven track record in customer service, attention to detail, and problem solving.
• Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.
• Strong oral and written communication and quality control skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
• Must be willing to take initiative and possess excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple competing duties.
