Jacob H. Paster, M.E., Vice President

     Mr. Paster, a founder of RMD, graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in Industrial Engineering, and continued his studies under an Air Force scholarship, completing a Master of Engineering program at Texas A&M. Upon graduation, Mr. Paster was assigned to Wright Patterson Air Force Base an Air Force officer, holding various positions with the Systems Command Laboratory Organization. Mr. Paster has participated in a number of radiation related seminars and courses at the Air Force, RMD, and at other organizations.

     Mr. Paster has a broad range of experience encompassing both business and technology development, especially instrumentation based on radiation technology. Mr. Paster's experience includes his involvement with development and technical marketing of various nuclear radiation detectors and systems. For the past seven years he has directed the Compuglass® product line, a neutron and gamma radiation based nuclear gauging device. In addition, he is responsible for the development and production of RMD custom solid state radiation detection systems.

     As a VP of RMD, Mr. Paster has full responsibility for the development and technical execution of the LPA-1 Lead Paint Analyzer product line. Mr. Paster has conducted numerous training classes in lead measurement, and has lectured extensively about lead hazard. Mr. Paster taught at the University of South Florida and has written extensively regarding issues within the lead paint inspection community.

      Mr. Paster's business experience includes ten years in Washington, D.C. where he was Executive Vice President of one of the first small companies in the solar energy business to become public. At that time, during the Carter administration, Mr. Paster was the Solar Energy Industry Association's nominee for Deputy Assistant Secretary for Solar & Conservation.

     Mr. Paster is the president of the National Lead Assessment and Abatement Council and recipient of the 1998 Lead Star Award for Contribution to Lead Hazard Control Industry.
